Welcome to my website. My name is Julie, I live in a small island town in South East Alaska with my husband and five children. I have been breeding Miniature Dachshunds for seven years. My love for Dachshunds started as a child. My neighbors owned two Miniature Dachshunds named Digger and Killer. I admired the brave little dogs and knew that someday I would own a Doxie. My first doxie was Brandy. She was a chocolate and tan and she had tons of personality. I currently own Suzette, Brandy’s half sister, as Brandy died a year ago suddenly from bad dog food. She is terribly missed. I am currently breeding for temperament. The most important part of owning a Doxie, is that they fit into your family, are easily trained and out going. Over the past years I have perfected the temperaments in my dogs, and you can expect all puppies from our kennel to have sound, outgoing temperaments. I am striving for conformation, and hope to have Wirehaired Dachshunds in the ring soon.
During my childhood, I owned various animals. I had two wethers called Trouble and Lucky. They were French Alpines. I bought my first registered doe in 2002, and have owned goats ever since. My main goal in owning goats was to supply my children with fresh milk, free of hormones and chemicals. We have made goat milk cheese, yogurt and soap and have enjoyed the high butterfat rich goat milk. We currently have two Pyrenees, and may breed another litter in 2009. They are pets and livestock guardians. Our male Simba, is training to be a LGD. Simba is AKC registered and has champion bloodlines. Our female Zina, is a pet and lives in the house. I recently added a fullbood Boer doe to our herd along with an 88% buckling. We are hoping to raise some nice meat whethers in the future.
My daughter Madeline has recently purchased a Chihuahua named Panda. He is the start of “Madeline’s Chihuahua’s”. We are planning on showing him and adding a long haired female Chihuahua soon. He is a bright, happy little dog, and we all are in awe with this fabulous breed. We will be offering him to stud to approved females, and will be eager to finish him in 2009. Our Chihuahua’s are a fun venture and we will have the same guarantee for our Chihuahuas that we have always had with our Doxies. We will be breeding for temperament and excellent health and sound structure. Only bitches that are 4 pounds and up will be used for breeding. All of our males will be finished before they are offered for stud.
The new pups have arrived!!!!
